Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard

MEET TYRONE GILMORE

TY ATTENDED BALDWIN HIGH SCHOOL WHERE HE WAS ALL CONFERENCE HIS SENIOR YEAR.  HE THEN WENT ON TO PLAY AT SUFFOLK WEST COMMUNITY COLLEGE, WHERE HE WAS COACHED BY JERRY POWELL FOR ONE YEAR. HE THEN TRANSFERRED TO NASSAU AFTER ONE YEAR; WHERE HE PLAYED FOR ONE YEAR AND RECEIVED AN ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN MARKETING. HE FINISHED UP AT FARMINGDALE  STATE BUT DIDN'T PLAY BECAUSE HE DISCOVERED THAT HE HAD A HEART MURMUR WHICH CAUSED HIM TO BE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL 3 TIMES IN 3 MONTHS. THIS SITUATION ENDED HIS PURSUIT AS A BASKETBALL PLAYER.

HE WAS THEN OFFERED A POSITION AS A STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TRAINER AT THE END OF  THE SUMMER OF 2009, AND AT THE SAME TIME JERRY OFFERED HIM A JOB AT BASKETBALL RESULTS AS A TRAINER SO HE CHOSE THAT INSTEAD.  HIS PLANS FOR THE FUTURE ARE TO ONE DAY BECOME AN NBA SCOUT OR WORK IN THE FRONT OFFICE OF AN NBA ORGANIZATION.
